LP in thick card gatefold sleeve with die-cut white paper inner sleeve, also issued on CD in the US and Japan. Jon Spencer produced six songs on this album. “Going out to New York was amazing, working with Jon Spencer and Jerry Teal at Funhouse. Mick Collins produced half that first record, too. We were really fortunate at that time of our lives. Larry Hardy at In the Red really believed in us. I think he worked as a grocery bagger to pay for that album.” Margaret Doll Rod (bynwr.com) Producers are listed under the title; “The candyman can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good”. In a post on Third Man Records Ben Blackwell states that Demolition Doll Rods recorded approximately 5 different takes of the song I Wanna O.D. but none have ever been released.
