A lot of artists who return after a break come back more serious or sombre because it’s legacy time. In a good way, this album is not that.

The new issue of Uncut magazine [LINK] (October 2012, Take 185) available in the UK on Friday, August 24 will include a Jon Spencer Blues Explosion track on the covermount CD and a review of Meat and Bone.

Although Cat Power has stated that album track ‘Ruin‘ features the Dirty Delta Blues it is not yet known if Judah Bauer appears on the finished recording (or the deluxe edition any bonus tracks).
