| In regular plastic case shrink-wrapped with three seperate stickers on the outside (one lists Japan tour dates). There is a booklet containing the lyrics (in English and Japanese) and a card in Japanese with a link and code allowing access to a live version of Help These Blues.
Tracks 13 and 14 only appear on the Japanese and Australian editions. The enhanced section contains a 22 minute film directed by Niko Tavernese. Featuring exclusive studio footage of the band with various producers recording Damage, the film includes footage of the Cold Cold Eyes which was only released as a demo verison on the b-side of Burn It Off and another track which hasn’t be released. No title appears on the film but it has been referred to as both ‘Greetings From Mars, Arizona’ and ‘Behind The Record’. The film was also featured on Damage [Card Sleeve] (CD, US) and Damage [Card Sleeve] (CD/DVD, UK) as an enhanced element. The song credits for tracks 8 and 11 on the finished version differ from those given on Damage [Promo] (CD, UK) and Damage [Promo] (CD, US) (details given below). Damage was released in the UK as a gatefold sleeve vinyl album with identical matchbook-style design as the UK CD/DVD edition and US enhanced CD version. There were full promo CD editions, a five track version, a five track Radio Session (with a cover of Rocket USA) and 1 track version (Help These Blues). The Japanese version included Grinding and The Funky Gremlin as bonus tracks not released elsewhere. Burn It Off, Crunchy and Hot Gossip were commercially released as singles, a DFA remix of Mars, Arizona was issued as a promo CD and appeared on DFA Remixes: Chapter One. A live version of Rattling featuring Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols was released on Snack Cracker in Japan. Help These Blues was used in a Jaguar XK TV commercial |
