The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion – Union Square, NYC (PHOTO, US)

nb. one photo was used on the cover of Bounce magazine in Japan (October, 1996)

For this photo session I used a smoke machine for the Limousine set (at Union Square , NYC) and in the Meat Market see last images ,) and I also did an abstract painting of an explosion that I used as the background.

The first black and white print was sold in March 2017 and the sepia-tone print was sold in June 2018 at Bond Street Print Shop to benefit The Southern Poverty Law Center. The last ten photos were sold at Pinebox, Bushwick, with the attempt to help save the bar from being closed (August 25, 2024).
