2 June 2010: “Just a heads up to make you aware that the release of ‘Destroy’ has been pushed back to the 1st of July because we are planning a limited edition coloured 12″ vinyl release of the track with TWO NEW Popstars tracks called ‘My Bubbles’ and ‘Evidently’.

24 January 2020: “Another absolute highlight of my career was collaborating with Jon Spencer who provides vocals on Destroy.
I’d been a fan of him since the early days of the Blues Explosion and when we got to work with him it I was so excited!

We emailed him the demo of Destroy and labeled it ‘Destroy Jon Spencer’, so apparently when he received the email he wasn’t sure if he should open it in case it destroyed his computer

He was also the only artists who sang for us that stared in the video and it’s one of my favourite music videos we did as The Japanese Popstars. So much character, so much cool and check his brown paper bag” – Last Survivor (formerly of The Japanese Popstars)
