| Bootleg white-label 7″ in wraparound sleeve (nb. the sleeve is a much brighter red/pink than it appears in the scan).
The first three songs are from a very poor quality audience recording from Raji’s, Hollywood in September 1987 during the Right Now! tour whereas the source material for Turd On The Run would appear to have been taken direct from the cassette release of Exile On Main St.. Although generally the sound quality of Turd On The Run is much better the track doesn’t seem to run at a consistent speed (A better version of this recording was commercially released on Corpse Love: The First Year). The artwork imitates the lettering on Right Now and the rear sleeve uses a version of the Sugarshit Sharp cover which features the Einstürzende Neubauten logo and an unedited ‘Rolling Stones lips’ logo. Caroline Records never got permission for this and in the end the cover used “a carve-up inferno between the lips and Neubauten’s symbol”. The unedited logo was also used on the Japanese release of Sugarshit Sharp. |
