Promo CD in paper sleeve / plastic wallet of Liquid Love by The Experimental Tropic Blues Band which was recorded with Jon Spencer and Matt Verta-Ray in New York. Commercially released on vinyl and CD.

The band released The Best Burger / No Fun 7″ single in September 2011.

“Cela fait des années qu’on le dit: The Experimental Tropic Blues Band est l’un des meilleurs groupes belges en activité. Déjà excellent sur disque, le groupe écrase surtout la concurrence sur scène. Mais celui-ci ne donnant pas dans la pop mollassonne ou le folk pour midinettes, son succès reste limité. Mais ce manque de reconnaissance, le groupe s’en fout comme de sa première cuite au whisky et continue de creuser un sillon crasseux où punk, blues et boogie se renvoient la balle dans une ambiance enfumée. Et cela paie. En effet, après avoir parcouru les routes d’Europe en 2010, le groupe est désormais prêt pour enregistrer le successeur de Captain Boogie. Et cela se passera en février à New-York en compagnie de la légende Jon Spencer, à qui le groupe doit beaucoup, et qui mettra provisoirement de côté ses activités avec Heavy Trash et son Blues Explosion histoire de donner encore un peu plus de piment au disque des Liégeois. Le nouvel effort est prévu pour le mois de septembre sur JauneOrange. Et ça va chier dans le ventilo.”

09 March 2011: They posted “Very last overdubs this morning, after let’s go shopping!” along with a picture of the band recording with Jon Spencer at NY Hed.

17 March 2011: “We already received 3 mixes from the album (Yeah Yeah Yeah, Petit Rock & Best Burger In Town), it sounds great! Last song tonight before a break of several days/week…we can’t wait to have it!”

28 March 2011: “4 mixes sont desormais termines (Wo Oh Oh completant les 3 premiers), la suite arrive demain! ” – The Experimental Tropic Blues Band just posted a message saying that four mixes from their album had been complete.

22 April 2011: “Last mix of the album (Fanstasy World) due to be available 2day” / “The mixes are done, we’re more than happy by the result…mastering on May 10 in NYC, can’t wait!”

28 April 2011: From official mail-out: “We recently recorded our third album in New York last March with Matt Verta Ray (from Heavy Trash) and Jon Spencer (from JSBX, Heavy trash, Boss Hog & many more) as producer, the result is great and full of surpises, you’ll find some pictures and news made in direct on one of our facebook page (here or there).

Already recorded and mixed, it’ll be masterized in New York on May 10…we’ll keep you posted about it’s release due to be available next fall!”

August 2011: The band have recently posted the cover art work along with “NYC Diary” videos which include the (parts of the) songs Nothing to Prove and Fantasy World.
