NOTES: | |
One of the many bootleg issues of the Pussy Galore cover of Exile on Main St. by The Rolling Stones.
This 10″ is an incomplete version of the original cassette release, issued in with a wraparound-style sleeve which only covers 2/3’s of the back. The record is in a white paper inner-sleeve. Although artwork and labels give the impression the label is The Peace Killers it would appear to be Black Death Record as the catalogue number is ‘BDR 002’. nb. ‘The Peace Killers’ title and logo is taken from a 1971 biker movie directed by Douglas Schwartz. Happy and Just Wanna See His Face were also issued on the bootleg Stoned To Death (7″, US). Turd on the Run, Ventilator Blues, Just Wanna See His Face and Let It Loose were also issued on the Corpse Love compilation. RELEASE DATE: This 10″ would have been issued much later than 1987 but until there is more information available it will be listed alongside the other versions of Exile On Main St.. Hip Shake was also recorded by Gibson Bros. for The Man Who Loved Couch Dancing, although that album featured Jon Spencer and Cristina Martinez they did not appear on that particular song. |
