SLEEVE NOTES: | |
“why Dial ‘M’ for Motherfucker? What’s up with this new “high-tech, can-do”, accessible Pussy Galore? Accessible my ass! This is one of the hardest records ever made! People have listened to it and gone blind! This is the record that broke up the band! 3 facts: FACT: The album’s original title, “Make them eat shit slowly” could not be used for fear that chain stores would refuse to carry the record. FACT: Pussy Galore is one of the hottest groups today. FACT: Steve Albini once again worked with the band because he personally felt that the $150 a day would make it worthwhile. Most of the basic tracks were recorded in London with the assistance of Gert-Jam “Joe” Avesaath at the conclusion of Pussy Galore’s most recent european tour, Once back in the US, Julia Cafritz quit the band and the album was completed with Steve and Wharton Tiers. Dial ‘M’ for MotherfuckerA word about the band: Pussy Galore are not real people, we are monsters, hairy 6 ft tall creatures with tattoos. We have no life offstage. So here it is. the great “lost” PG lp. This record is a party, jerk, so enjoy it.” |
